  5. DTA - POLL is a polling system designed to transfer data between a central
  6. computer and a number of PCs connected via PSTN leased or direct connect lines.
  7. In case of line failure during a session, DTA - POLL can pick up at the
  8. beginning of the item interrupted if necessary. The transfer protocol is the
  9. ASCII subset of the IBM 3780 BiSynch protocol, though external protocols such
  10. as KERMIT may also be used.
